Spread the love

Each week, The Traveling Twosome chooses a picture from one of our journeys, junkets, competitions, or good times at home for the Pic of the Week!  Leave your comments on our picture and join in the fun!

This week’s pic is from our recent trip to see the flood damage from the rising Mississippi River in downtown Memphis, TN during the 2011 flood.  This picture was taken on May 7, 2011 as the river was at approx. 47 feet – far above the flood stage.  Char is standing at what should be Riverside Drive in downtown Memphis… but with the flood, however, she finds herself in the Mississippi River itself!

Hey Louis, see those biceps? THAT’S why you’ll never be able to beat Char at arm wrestling. LOL

Char, I don’t think he has much of a choice! I felt sorry for him when I watched your wrestling show and I was actually pulling for him to win the match. I thought that would be a good twist at the end of the show. I just watched the fake commercials on your website and he really is a good sport about losing!

HAHA Jill, Louis really is a great sport about losing! He knows it’s all in fun! *smile* We laugh so hard at ourselves. He’s amazing and perfect for me in every way. I am VERY BLESSED!

Jill – you were pulling for me! WOW! So you’re the other one! I knew I had at least two fans out there!

Char – yes, I guess I had to be a good sport about losing the match. After all, the cameras were rolling – what else was I going to do? It would have only made things worse for me. LOL
