Great show! Listening to you guys go back and forth about whether or not Char would take up CS’s challenge was almost like listening to a wrestling match! Char, it is great that you finally came around on this! You should never have backed down from the challenge in the first place!

I understand what you’re saying about not wanting to give Louis your strategy but I think you’re mistaken. Many chess players, even Grandmasters, write books revealing their strategy! Everyone who plays chess long enough knows the basic strategies but the better player just trips up their opponent! After you beat Louis every game, he knows what you did to beat him and how you trip him up. But you still keep beating him. 7 GAMES TO 1 YOU KEEP WINNING AGAINST HIM! So you’re not giving away any secret knowledge. After 8 games, he knows how you play but you’re just kicking his ass every game anyway.

Glad you agreed to the challenge. Now go claim victory #8. 😉 I hope you put him away fast and easy this time!

Hi Char! You were going to call 911 on a bee! Serious? ROFLMAO
I am picturing the cops arriving to find you in your Wonder Woman costume battling a bee.

I took the clip of you talking from 26:25 – 26:40 on today’s radio show and saved it as an MP3. Whenever I need a little pick-me-up, I’ll play that sound byte. 😉

I have got to see this pink wrestling outfit Louis keeps talking about. Pic of the Week maybe? You’re getting behind again. Maybe that’ll make up for it? Can’t wait for the 30 sec wrestling hold challenge competition!

So I suppose I’m the only one on your side, Char, agreeing that you don’t have to play Louis in chess again to prove anything. I think a 7-1 record against him and being on a 6 game winning streak against him speaks loud enough. But I also give you props for agreeing to play him again anyway and take up the challenge from CS. When she beats you this time around Louis, are you going to wish you hadn’t pushed her into this challenge match?

And now on to the game you enjoy losing to Char in. Wrestling! You didn’t say if you liked my idea? What about a poll to decide what you wear to the next match! Louis makes the pink one sound like the obvious choice! Can we all get to see it first?

You guys need to go ahead and have this chess match and settle your dispute so we can get back to the better competition: wrestling!

Patrick Holt, the girl who beat our star wrestler beat him on his next to last wrestling meet of the season. it wasn’t a championship match, but it was his only loss of the year. Had she not taken him down and pinned him, he was by points slightly ahead. I don’t know if anyone got it on video but I’m sure someone did. Everyone has their phones right? But what happened was that everyone expected him to win the match either by pin or by points and when she broke his hold and threw him down on the mat, I really think he was just more surprised and caught off guard. He hit the mat really hard on his side and she was able to scoop up his legs and lay over his chest crossways getting the pin. She was actually twisting him during the pin and you could see on his face he was in pain. It all happened so quickly that it was over before most people realized what was going on. Lots of people missed the actual pin because it was so fast and they just looked up when they heard the ref blow the whistle afte she had him pinned. He was our star wrestler, undefeated all season, and she was from our rival school but I have to tell you the truth, I was so happy for her after the match and I let her know. It was definitely her big moment. No one thought she could win that match.

So Louis, we will all hold you to your word. Char beats you at all those games then you HAVE to box her! No backing out, buddy!

Char, you finally gave in! I knew you’d eventually agree to my chess challenge idea! I don’t get why you were nervous about telling your strategy. He sees your strategy after every game every time you guys put your videos together but it hasn’t helped him beat you yet! I thought I was just giving you another opportunity to put him in his place? I’m happy to know you’re going to accept the challenge now!

Any update on the film for You Got Beat By A Girl? I can’t wait for that one!

Char, having to stay PG on my comments about you and wrestling might be a little too hard for me. Put yourself in my shoes thinking about wrestling you!

I’m all about Patrick’s idea to let your fans decide what you wear next time you and Louis hold a wrestling competition. If you have a wardrobe slip, you’ll edit it anyway. I’ve seen the oil wrestling one which I think has my vote now. We all know what a WWE diva costume would look like. And Louis wants one we haven’t see yet. Take a pic and let us decide through a web poll.

Really I just want to see the new outfit Louis is about to (EDITED) in his pants over. Can you blame me? 😉

We all know where Louis stares the whole time he’s wrestling you anyway!

Char did you like my idea of making Louis submit in under 60 seconds? So when you have your 60 second wrestling match challenge, if you pin him in under 60 seconds, you win the challenge but you get something extra if he taps out and submits the match to you in under 60 seconds. Louis would you even agree to that or would you be too scared if you knew she were going to really try to inflict a little pain on you and not just pin you?

Jeff, can you compare the height and weight of the guy and girl wrestlers in the match you mentioned where the girl beat the undefeated guy?

I could see Char meeting Louis this way. LOL

You guys were intense this week! Good thing she loves you, Louis. Else she would have kicked your ass during the show! I thought she was about to for a minute! She sounded like she was going to go Jerry Springer on you!!! 🙂

Char, I think you made the right call by agreeing to the chess rematch. Otherwise you’d never live it down that you refused to accept a challenge. That’s not like you to refuse any challenge. I’ve listened to your show every week long enough now to know you better!

Louis, I wasn’t surprised like your were to hear that Char never fantasizes about losing a wrestling match to you. Don’t you realize you married a dominatrix? 😉 she enjoys punishing you in the ring and out I’m quite certain.

Char, here’s a new question for you. You are asked to wrestle in a tag team match. The opposing team is known to be strong but you think you would still be able to beat either of them one on one. Would you pick Louis as your tag team partner? Why or why not?

Both of you take a deep breath and count to ten! Louis, I don’t know how you did it but you got Char to agree to CS’s chess challenge as long as she doesn’t reveal ALL of her strategy during your breaks. And Char, I don’t know how you did it but you got Louis to agree to box you if you win the next several competitions! Char, you got the better end of this deal! I’d say you definitely won those negotiations! Stunning! Did you walk him into that knowing what you were doing the whole time?

About chess, I really don’t think it’s a big thing if Louis knows your strategy during any given game, Char. It won’t help him in future matches as every game is different as the pieces are moved into positions. In fact, if he were thinking too much on what you did in the last game he’d probably not see what your doing in the current game being played. He’d be looking for past strategies that might not be relevant to new game. So no biggie. I found this that I wanted to share with both of you. It’ll make both of your games better. I didn’t come up with this, it’s from a chess website but it’s really good information for beginners.

After your opponent has moved, what do you think first? Many people think they are the center of the earth and that planet earth is evolving around them. They only think about themselves and in which way they can overrun the opponent. The opponent simply doesn’t exist in their minds and they only worry about their own moves and plans. Some players might even think how great they are and that they are going to win just because they have the higher rating. This arrogant attitude will be punished in a chess game in no time at all. If you think first about yourself and your own moves and possibilities, after your opponent has moved, then it is time to change this way of thinking completely, or you will never become a good player. You are going to lose many games just because of your attitude. Learn from the following chess tips. After he has made his move, the right way to think is: What is he threatening? What does he want? How can I stop his plans or at least reduce their effects on my position. When you understand the move of your opponent completely, then you can think about your own moves and ideas. Remember, you are not the boss in chess. What I mean is that your opponent is very important too. The game is not just evolving around you. If you just think about your own moves in a game you run right into a disaster.

And another piece of advice is always try to control the center squares. Whoever controls these squares will usually ultimately win the match. Try to position knights in or near the center and never put knights or pawns in sides or corners. This severely limits their possible moves.

Good luck, guys. Char, go beat his ass again and mark one notch off on your scorecard toward your boxing match! My advice, Louis, buy some headgear for yourself!

Char don’t let Louis fool you. The real reason Louis was begging for a chess rematch is that he knows he can’t beat you and he wants to experience being dominated by you once again. Every time you say things on the show about humiliating him publicly, you know he’s getting off on it. Sexy, sexy Char! 😉

Hello Christopher. Like I mentioned at first, both wrestlers were in the 126-132 weight class so they both had to fall in that range. If I remember, the girl was a little taller but our wrestler (the guy) was definitely the more experienced wrestler of the two. She just had the perfect opportunity during the match and took advantage of it. Nobody expected that outcome. He was supposed to go undefeated this season and honestly, no one wanted to go up against him.

I listen to your podcasts sometimes and watch all of your videos. I’m glad I listened today because I do play chess. I watched your last chess match video but I don’t really see you two as serious chess players so I don’t analyze your games or strategy. You’re just doing it for entertainment and that’s why I go to your website. Now, I think Char might be a little more serious when it comes to wrestling! 😀

I am writing because of David’s comment above. His advice will help both of you enjoy the game more. What he copied about looking at the opponents pieces in relation to your own king rather than looking at your own position is the best advice a beginner can get. You will capture more pieces from your opponent this way and learn by making mistakes. It’s ok! Also, his advice to control the center squares is the second most important advice for a beginner. When your pieces are trapped on sides or corners, this severely limits their possible moves. A knight that can control the center is very powerful! Excellent summary, David. I hope you guys enjoy your rematch!

By the way, I’m pulling for you, Char!

Char and Louis, what holds or pins are you going to use on each other for the 30 sec wrestling hold challenge? Char, your best bet so he doesn’t wiggle out is a pin.

I don’t know why I’m offering help to you since I want you to lose but Louis, you can’t even consider a pin because she’ll surely throw you off of her. No way could you throw Char off of you though. For your round, what kind of hold are you thinking?
