Char Enjoying Valentine’s Dinner

Char and I had a lot to celebrate on Valentine’s Day, 2013.  What a perfect day for our first book, The Traveling Twosome: Live, Love, Laugh, to hit stores nationwide!  As most of our fans know, the book was originally planned to be released many months earlier but due to factors beyond our control, the release date kept getting pushed back… all the way to Valentine’s Day.  Looking back now, it couldn’t have come out on a better day:  a day set aside to Live, Love, and Laugh!

We made the decision to have no plans this year for Valentine’s Day but rather let the day take us where it wanted.  All we knew for sure was that wherever we spent the next few hours, we would wind up in each other’s arms at the end of the evening.  As always, Char looked stunning and my first thought was: let’s hurry up and go so we can get back!  Then, my next thought: if getting back is the destination then why go?  We’re already here!  But out we went anyway…

We began our Valentine’s journey together by sending each other a love letter on Char’s personal Facebook wall.  I noticed she had written the following piece:

Louis Magnifico… My sweet darling husband, words can not express the deep passionate love I have for you. My love for you grows deeper each and every day. God BLESSED us for our faithfulness in life by bringing two broken hearts together when we least expected it. You are my very best friend, my confidant, my lover, my husband and my heart. You complete me. Though we are walking through some fiery trials together we are strong. We know where our comfort comes from. It comes from God and one another. At the end of a weary day there is nothing more comforting and warm than to fall into your arms and rest. I love you. To the moon and back. Forever and For Always. To Eternity. We have Victory in Jesus and we are a triangle of Strength, knowing He has us all in His care. I thank God for you everyday. I praise God for you everyday. We are perfect for one another. One day we will be rocking on our front porch sharing memories of old together. Sipping semi-sweet tea and lemonade laughing, crying, and holding hands. Our wrinkles will show our life story and it will be beautiful. I look forward to that day more than anyone realizes; for on that day we will be able to say we lived a full life together in just a few short years. Although I wish we had one another since childhood I can certainly help make up the lost time, the lost memories, the lost love now and in our future years together until we both pass on to Glory. I love you so very much. You are my dream come true. You are my Prince Charming. You are my rock star. You are my everything. Thank you for being the most incredible husband and best friend a girl could ever have. I am the most BLESSED woman in the world because I have YOU! I LOVE YOU! Happy Valentine’s Day, Sweetheart! Let us enjoy making memories together forever and then we shall soak in the Glory of God’s Goodness as we share those stories with others. Thank You, Lord God. Thank You for loving us both so much and seeing our heartfelt desires be met in human form….. The love for one another. You are my first True Love, Louis. And you will be my ONLY Love. God opened my eyes, my ears and my heart and helped us experience the Love HE desires for all of His children. Your Bride, your best friend, your lover……. For Always, Char~

My response to Char:

Char Magnifico, sometimes it seems that we have been together since we were children. I can hardly remember what it was like to not have you in my life. I’ve never seen two people who were such a natural fit like you and I. I joke quite often that I feel like I’ve died and gone to Stepford. But that is really how I feel… ever since you and I became “us,” my life has been filled with a love that beforehand was unimaginable. You always find the most creative, most enjoyable, and most perfect ways to show your love for me. When I was a child, I never went through the cootie stage that so many boys experience. I always dreamed about what a loving marriage would be like. I desired to experience such a love for myself but as I grew up, I thought it was a dream that would never come true. Perhaps that’s why I’ve always been so passionate about music… it awakens that part of my heart that craves loving attention. But then, just when I least expected it, this tall, beautiful, witty, talented, wonderful, funny, Godly woman walked into my life. Nothing has ever been the same since. Love smells, feels, tastes, looks, and sounds more beautiful than I ever imagined. You are my muse, my completion, the one and only love of my life, the most incredible and incredibly sexy woman in the world, my dream, my fantasy, my desire. Happy Valentine’s Day! Your best friend, your lover, your husband… For Always, Louis

A Private Book Signing for a Friend and Fan
After receiving his hand-delivered copies of our new book, our friend and fan let the world know about his private book signing on his Facebook page.

That evening, we shared an exceptional Swordfish dinner at a local restaurant with a salad, Salmon dip, and quinoa.  It was an excellent choice and a relaxing start to a great night!

After dinner, we called a friend who had ordered a couple copies of our book.  We met him near his home and hand delivered his books to him.  We chatted for a while and caught up on life then he grabbed a photo opportunity as well which he later posted on his own Facebook page (pictured to the right).

We decided to catch some live music at a local pub before grabbing a late night dessert and coffee somewhere.  Intending to just sit in the crowd and enjoy each other’s company, maybe dance to a few numbers, and try our best to garner catcalls such as “get a room,” the evening had other plans for us.

We were invited to perform a few songs with the band so Char and I jumped on stage with “Long Train Running” and “Keep Your Hands to Yourself.”  It’s always a blast performing with my bride and the band we were sitting in with were all stellar musicians and friends – it was a great time had by all.

Leaving the pub, we chose to skip dessert and coffee and finally arrive back at the day’s ultimate destination: home.

M.B. Our prayer is that everyone in a relationship would see just how much love and friendship go together.
