As most of you know, at the time of this writing we are in the final stretch of our Win Your Own TV Show contest where one lucky individual will win their own episode of our TV Show, A Day in the Life! We’ll film an episode based on his or her idea. We are in the final round of the contest now and we are deciding between three finalists:
Bobbi Santana – “A Day in the Life of Austin, Texas” – In this show concept, Bobbi will be our tour guide through one of America’s wildest and weirdest cities! Being musicians ourselves, we would perform there in Austin – known around the world as one of America’s music capitals. We’d also check out everything else that makes Austin just so unique!
Jose Muniz – “A Day in the Life of a Car Salesman” – In this show concept, Jose will take us behind the scenes at a car lot as we learn to occupation of a car salesman. Char and I could even have a little competition to see who can be the first to make a sale!
Kelly Jones – “A Day in the Life of a Paranormal Investigator” – In this show concept, Kelly will take us to a mysterious place where the only thing certain is uncertainty and paranormal activity appears to be the explanation!
So…. what does all of this have to do with a cracked plate, you ask?
Well a few nights ago, Char and I were laying in bed, sleeping soundly. Sometime around 3:00am, we were both awakened to a loud popping sound. Then another. And another. Then about three more. The noise was coming from just beside Char’s nightstand. Sitting there was a plastic plate on which we had snacked on apples just a few hours prior. Looking at the plate, the bottom had totally cracked and it was starting to warp.
Nothing was on the plate and the temperature in the room had been steady. The plate hadn’t fallen – just started cracking. The next morning, looking at the plate, we both said to each other, “we’ve got to show this to our contestant, Kelly Jones!”
So here’s the plate… notice not just the cracking around the bottom but also the warping! Kelly, what do you make of this one?
Good luck to all three of our finalists in our contest! You guys are all so much fun!
