Having already experienced how intense our paper football matches are, Char and I knew going into the game that this would be one of the most interesting competitions of the 2011 Traveling Twosome Olympics. Nothing could have prepared us for just how crazy the game would be, however… this is truly one for the record books.
With 75 points up for grabs in the 2011 Olympics – and the Paper Football Championship title on the line – Char and I battled it out. Even this video doesn’t give proper justice to just how exciting the game was. But you’ll get an idea…
The score at halftime was Louis: 73 Char: 49. The game had been fairly one-sided until that point. But in the third quarter, Char scored 46 unanswered points! The final quarter of the game would be fiercely competitive with lead changes occurring in the final two minutes of the match.
When the buzzer rang, the final score was a shocking 136-146. Char won.
With this victory, Char pulled into the lead in this year’s Traveling Twosome Olympics for the first time with a score of 112-62.
