Nov 3 Attitude of Gratitude
I am so thankful for our three beautiful children. They are GIFTS from the Lord and we are so very BLESSED to have them as our children, to love them, guide them, raise them up to know and love God, have fun with them, teach them, learn from them, appreciate every little difference and quirk in them, encourage them, support them, and get to know their interests, hobbies, passions and desires for their lives. Not a day goes by when they don’t inspire me. Not a day goes by when they don’t make me laugh until tears stream down my cheeks. Every evening as I pray over them my heart is full of JOY.
Watching them mature and grow is bitter-sweet. Sweet because they are my babies and I love and adore each of them with all of my heart, mind and soul. Bitter because as they grow older they grow wings…preparing for their future and they eventually fly away from home and create their own adult life with their own families, jobs, and adult friends. It’s what we are called to do as parents…….raise them and love them until they mature and become completely independent and create a new life of their own.
As a Momma that is probably the hardest part of my parenting. Watching them all prepare to go off and lead a life without needing much help from me. Clarissa, our eldest, is in her second year of college and doing very well. She is beginning to fly. We are so proud of her yet how tear-filled I become when I think of the days when a simple task such as tying her shoes was too difficult and she would come to me and seek my guidance and help. I pray she always feels she can still do that. Life is challenging in this world but Momma and Daddio will always be here for support, encouragement, guidance, and most important…. unconditional LOVE.
Stephen and Nina are growing so quickly and becoming more independent as well. We have time before they enter their college years and begin thinking about their futures. I plan to treasure every moment, as I have with Clarissa, and pray over their lives daily.
I love you Clarissa, Stephen and Nina!! All three of you have made our lives more complete! You are AMAZING children and we are VERY PROUD of you!!
