Without question, some of our most popular posts on The Traveling Twosome have been the competitions between Char and I.  From playing a game of pool to entering a wrestling ring, our fans love seeing us compete.  That’s why we’re announcing that in October 2010, we’re holding a competition marathon… The Traveling Twosome Olympics!

Char and I will compete in several events throughout the month and each event will be worth a unique pre-determined point value.  At the end of the month, the winner will be the one who has accumulated the most points throughout the games.  We’re going to be holding several events and posting on each one along the way.  We’ll also have a point counter on this website so you can keep up with who’s in the lead and by how much!

But wait, there’s more… we’ll be filming each event.  So while each individual event post will have highlights and screenshots, we’ll make a full length video containing The Traveling Twosome Olympics in its entirety at the end of the month!

We are considering holding our final event and the winning announcement in front of a live audience in Hot Springs, AR at the end of the month.  If that happens, we’ll be sure to let you know…

At this time, we’re still looking for competitions to add to our lineup of events.  Right now, we’ve got Tug of War over a mud pit, an arm wrestling match, billiards, basketball, darts, and more… what do YOU want to see us do?  Let us know by sending us your suggestion on our Make a Request page – just be sure to tell us it’s for The Traveling Twosome Olympics.  Not all events have to be athletic.  Be creative!

Char takes a shot.

This will be one event you won’t want to miss!  Keep watching and telling your friends about The Traveling Twosome!

We love your site and think the Olympic thing is a GREAT idea! Have fun! We know you will! Looking forward to the basketball! Can we make requests? We want to see 9 Ball rather than just 8 ball if you do pool. We also want a wrestling rematch and an exercise competition, like how many pull ups, push ups, etc. each can do. What do you think?

Ben & Tammy – we think it’s a great idea, too! We won’t be doing a full blown wrestling rematch as part of the Olympics – but keep your eyes on this site as we just might be doing a rematch episode of “A Day in the Life of a Professional Wrestler” sometime in the future. 9 ball sounds good. And we already agreed to do some exercises as competitions in the Olympics. We just might add a few more…. this is going to be a fun month. We’re looking forward to getting it kicked off!
