Spread the love

Each week, The Traveling Twosome chooses a picture from one of our journeys, junkets, competitions, or good times at home for the Pic of the Week!  Leave your comments on our picture and join in the fun!

This week’s pic is from the filming of an episode of our new TV show, A Day in the Life.  We were filming an episode called “A Day in the Life of a Professional Wrestler” and Char and I were trained in the art and sport of professional wrestling by Alan Steel, one of the wrestlers from Traditional Championship Wrestling.  Alan wore us out during the training and then Char and I stepped in the ring to put our newly acquired skills to the test.

To find out who won our match, you’ve got to wait until the episode airs in July 2010.  You can stay notified of when the episode will air and also learn about all the other fun things we have in store for our fans by joining our email list.  And don’t forget to visit our polls page to vote for who YOU think won the match…

WOW You had the match! I didn’t realize there was that much of a size difference between the two of you! Char, I hope you didn’t hurt him too badly. 😉 What was it like being in a real ring?

ROFLOL!!!! Yes! There is a size difference! *wink* *insert evil Char grin and laughter*

What was it like? INTENSE!!!!! INSANE!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!

We had a GREAT trainer and many more amazing wrestlers around us! We were hot, sweaty and exhausted by the end. I was so intense that even I would have been scared of me!! We also had our usual laughter in the midst of it all…. to think we were in the TCW ring being trained by Alan Steel….. our fans are NUTS!!! My extremely intense competitive nature came out strong and my facial expressions show it! LOL I won’t say who won (you have to wait until the TV show) but I can say wrestlers really DO wrestle!!! Good grief! I mean, the ring is NOT what we expected. I expected it to be a bippity-boppity trampoline style ring where I would strike a pose and start dancing, singing and laughing…… instead the ring was a hard mat on top of wooden beams and the ropes were made of steel wire inside a hard rubber hose !! COW HOLY! Talk about PAIN!!!!! LOL A wrestler needs to regularly work out with weights and be in good physical shape and be able to withstand an enormous amount of pain!!

My RESPECT and THANKS to TCW and especially to Alan Steel! I don’t know how he got through it without busting a gut laughing at us!! Good job, Alan!!! LOL

Kim, the size difference looks a lot bigger in this picture than it really is because I’m leaning and she’s standing. She’s only about 4 inches taller than me.

As for what it was like… wow…. all I can say is pro wrestlers go through a LOT more than I ever thought they did! Alan Steel was great – a real pleasure to work with. Over the course of the day, we really did get a feel for what A Day in the Life of a Pro Wrestler is like.

I agree with Char – we were really surprised to learn how hard the mat and the ropes were!

The most interesting part for me was being taught how to fall down on your back onto a hard surface. Wow. Can you say Neck Pain!!!

As for the match between Char and I… well, mums the word until the TV show airs in July. We won’t reveal who won until then… but we will be posting a Traveling Twosome post about the experience in the VERY near future… stay tuned!

Kim, thanks for being a constant reader!

Louis, four inches is substantial. I can’t wait to see the video! I just know Char had her way on this match!

There’s no need to post who won the wrestling match. It’s so obvious that Char won the wrestling match as well.

Steve, you’ve got Char and I laughing our heads off over here… what makes you feel so certain that Char won? We’ll be posting some more pics / video clips with the match posting soon. Of course, the victor won’t be revealed until the TV Show airs.

That picture definitely makes it look as if there’s a substantial difference in height and weight. If Louis wins , especially after that last arm-wrestling match, it would have to be considered an upset.

Johnnie!!! Where ya been, my friend? So, I see you went safe and voted for ME, eh?? WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!! We’ve been wondering how you have been!!

This picture has persuaded me to believe that Louis won the match. They aren’t disclosing who the winner is until the show is released. They are likely trying to throw us off so we’ll be surprised when we find out. Johnnie is right, from this picture it appears that Louis is the underdog. And perhaps Louis should be considered the underdog. After all, Char did nail him last time they arm wrestled. I’m betting Louis won, but I bet Char gave him the fight of his life!

    Gina,

As I say to my children when they are teetering between 2 possibilities…… Could be lunch meat, could be peaches! Who knows!! LOL

Maybe I lost, maybe I won. Without some wondering it isn’t much fun!! *grin*

You think what you need to think, darling. It’s all good. 🙂 I forgive you for teetering to the “other side” *insert wide evil grin*

Hey guys! This is so cool, you even used a real wrestling ring! LOL I can’t believe it! After the second arm wrestling match, and from seeing this pic, I feel pretty certain Char didn’t let us down. Looking forward to seeing it!

Hey Coach T! Y’all got what you kept on asking for! We aim to please! LOL We sure learned a lot from this experience….not just about wrestling and the guys and gals who live this profession…. but we learned even more about ourselves and each other! I am so glad we did it!! It brought us even closer together in our relationship (if that’s even possible! *grin*) I think every couple should experience something like this together! LOLOLOL
