Pants on the Ground – Traveling Twosome Style

To me, the best part of the TV Show “American Idol” is watching the poor performers in the auditions at the beginning of each season. Having been playing out in bands since I was 17 years old, I have a lot of hysterical memories of bad musicians and singers who have come to audition for various bands I’ve led through the years. Each season, “American Idol” showcases such talent (or lack thereof) for all the world to see.
Who can forget William Hung’s rendition of “She Bangs” or Renaldo Lapuz’s original composition from Season 7, “We’re Brother’s Forever”? This season’s embarrassing star is Larry Platt who performed his own song, “Pants on the Ground.”
The Traveling Twosome has decided… Char and I are both musicians, we have our own recording studio – why don’t we record our rendition of Larry Platt’s “Pants on the Ground?”
So using our Apple Macintosh, GarageBand, a homemade electric guitar built for my first rock band, Kiss Me Quick, my beloved Ibanez ATK 300 bass, a microphone, and the Presonus Firepod, The Traveling Twosome recorded our first song that wasn’t a part of our other band projects.
