What does Char do with empty cat food bags, a sewing machine, and spare time?  Make art, of course!

One of Char’s specialties is repurposing things – that is, turning something you don’t need anymore into something useful.  That’s exactly what she did with an empty bag of Friskies cat food:  she made a purse.

I’ve seen Char repurpose other things in the past – and I’m usually very impressed with the outcome.  I’ve got to say, this time she outdid herself.  I was blown away with the end result.

The purse includes a snap to keep it shut and a sturdy handle.

After making the Friskies cat food bag purse, she went on to Purina Cat Chow.  These purses are simple designs  -  she wants her next efforts to include center dividers and pockets.

Maybe it’s because I love cats – but I really love this cat food bag art!  Yes, she assured me the same concept will work equally well for dog food bags…

Check out the front and back pics – and leave feedback!
